AG Fundamentals 1&2

An AntiGravity® Fundamentals 1 & 2 teacher training course will guide you through the fundamentals of teaching AntiGravity® Fitness, including the history, philosophy and methodology behind the technique created by Christopher Harrison. Fundamentals 1 & 2 are the foundation for all AntiGravity® Aerial Fitness courses.

 

In this 4-day course, you will learn everything you need to instruct a safe and fun Fundamentals class on the Harrison AntiGravity® Hammock. This course will open the doors for you to continue your education in either AntiGravity® Aerial Yoga, or AntiGravity® Suspension Fitness as well as any of our Secondary courses. Students who wish to advance to higher professional standards should not miss this course

 

AG Aerial Yoga 1

Explore the evolution of yoga into 3-dimensional space. This body, mind, spirit course provides everything you need to deliver a safe yet challenging Aerial Yoga class to students of all levels. Every asana, vinyasa sequence, grip, wrap, and trap on the Harrison AntiGravity® Hammock is named and taught with clear progressions. Designed by the original creator of the genre, Christopher Harrison, this course allows you to present three distinct, flowing Aerial Yoga classes.

 

 

AG Aerial Yoga 2

Embolden your AntiGravity Aerial Yoga knowledge base and discover your own potentials with over 50 challenging new asanas, flying asanas and vinyasa variations on the Harrison AntiGravity® Hammock. Fine-tune your sporting and cueing with enhanced anatomy, kinesiology, bandhas and Sanskrit terminology.

 

Discover ananda (blissful joy) in levitating meditations and increase your own awareness of this ground-breaking new genre of yoga. Designed by the original creator of the genre, Christopher Harrison, this 2 day course allows you to present three new unique advanced Aerial Yoga classes.

 

AG Restorative Yoga

AntiGravity® Yoga Restorative is the gentle, healing side of Christopher Harrison‚s AntiGravity Yoga. This powerful method focuses the mind through powerful visualizations as it floats the body through a series of gentle gyro-kinetic motions, deeply opening the entire spine, hips, and connective tissues of the body.

 

This technique features full body inversions, alongside various forms of flowing spinal traction. It offers accessibility to students with physical limitations, but is loved by all as a portal into deeper spinal flexibility, and mind/body connection. Taught in a sequential flow to music, the class incorporates levitating meditations, zero-compression inversions, supported sun salutations, joint opening poses, and a floating savasana. Working from different hammock heights allows for the gentle opening of hips and spine.


 

AG Suspension Fitness 1

If you liked what you learned in the Fundamentals training and you want to continue your training in Suspension Fitness, this is the course for you! Learn the primary exercises of Antigravity techniques which includes a full body fitness regime to deliver to your clients strengthening, mobility, flexibility, and flips and tricks.
 

 

AG Suspension Fitness 2

Once you‘ve "tasted air" in the Harrison AntiGravity® Hammock, you and your students will be hungry for more moves and new challenges....and this 2 day Advanced AntiGravity Course delivers!

Learn new aerial flips, radical stretches and upside down tricks. Teach confidently using clear progressions, special tips and succinct cues while knowing how to incorporate spotting and scanning. Three powerful new lesson plans in this course give you many unique options for challenging yourself and your students.

 

 

AIRbarre

This extensive Aerial Dance Conditioning program is, the newest Aerial Fitness technique to come out of AntiGravity Fitness, Originators of the Suspension Fitness and Aerial Yoga genres.

As an award-winning Broadway Aerial Choreographer who brought the aerial arts to Broadway, Christopher Harrison is proud to announce AntiGravity® AIRbarre.  This extensive Aerial Dance Conditioning program is, the newest Aerial Fitness technique to come out of AntiGravity Fitness, Originators of the Suspension Fitness and Aerial Yoga genres.  Harrison was assisted in the creation of this exciting new program by Certified AntiGravity Master Instructor Trainer, Lorianne Major.

 

Dance develops ideal bodylines through the toning and lengthening of muscles, while also developing balance and agility.  Recently, new methods of ballet barre training have found their way into fitness studios as participants notice the many benefits of training physical grace. AntiGravity’s version, AIRbarre, challenges the body and mind beyond the vertical plane and up into the air!

AG Pilates

Explore new territory with your Pilates workout! Transferring the Pilates movement vocabulary to the Harrison AntiGravity® Hammock is a natural evolution that Joseph Pilates would most certainly have approved of. AntiGravity® Pilates is a suspension training program from Christopher Harrison’s AntiGravity® Fitness, creators of the revolutionary program AntiGravity® Aerial Yoga.  This certified technique allows practitioners to perform Classical and Contemporary Pilates exercises from the Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, and Ladder Barrel - all on the Harrison AntiGravity® Hammock! These classes take core-strengthening and targeted muscle conditioning to new heights. Explore the amazing benefits that can be derived by training your in the Pilates Method on the Harrison AntiGravity® Hammock in combination with AntiGravity®'s Zero-Compression Inversions.

 

No prior Pilates experience is necessary.  We will incorporate the foundation and the principles of Pilates in the AG Pilates program.  The Pilates background is covered sufficiently to successfully execute the AntiGravity Pilates curriculum.


 

AG Kids (Just Kids)

It is a child’s inherent nature to laugh, swing, spin, climb, flip and play. When a child plays the spirit soars. This training provides the tools to share this gift of flight with our future generation.  AntiGravity® Kids (Just Kids!) is a 4-day course, beta tested for 3 years, that is developmentally appropriate for ages 5-10. AntiGravity® Fitness is recognized by the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America as a Continuing Education Provider.


 

AG 1on1: D-Kink

AntiGravity® 1on1 (session design "D-kink") was created specifically for the certified personal trainer (PT). The sequences allow the PT to provide their clients with innovative ways for adding decompression to their client's fitness regime, thereby balancing their workout. This is a one-day course and does not require prior AntiGravity® certification.
